The Secret to Happiness

kpm doodles

I am doing a lot of cleaning and cooking to get ready for Easter.  I am sure that is what everyone is doing. I am taking a few minute to bike indoors, even though it is beautiful outside, because it is part of who I am.

When I bike inside I read.  Right now I am reading, One Thousand Gifts, by Ann Voskamp.  Today this passage from the Bible hit home with me.

"I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.  I know how to live on almost nothing or with everything.  I have learned the secret of living in every situation, whether it is with a full stomach or empty, with plenty or little."  (Philippians 4-11-12)

That is exactly what my journey is all about to live simply and organize with what I have.  To live in the moment and be content whether I mentally feel full or drained!

And here it is the secret to happiness is to be GRATEFUL for what we have or what we are given.

So looking at the glass 1/2 full today as I do all my chores.  I am going to notice the other things that people are doing around me, because even the little things do help.

I found this beautiful necklace on etsy.  I am thinking of getting it with my next paycheck!

It's always good to be reminded about being grateful, although I don't think I can get there while doing chores. BTW, I love your blog look, did you do the header yourself? Love the background too :)
