Ladybug Obsession

The ladybug obsession started after I made this little white flower pot with ladybugs on it........

I was on Pinterest and I just randomly searched ladybugs and this adorable picture came up.....

My kids are always bugging me ...... what is your favorite pet?   What would you get for a pet mom?  So when the question came up at dinner...... I showed them this picture.   Of course... they laughed and said I was off my rocker because you can not have a little child for a pet!!!!

I said I was going to get a little ladybug.....knowing in my mind I had found these pictures on Pinterest and I had a project in mind.

I went to the garden store and found a rock that was a good shape.....wash it.... and of course....spray painted it red.

Then I went downstairs and added some details to it..... I wanted my pet rock to look like this cupcake I found on Pinterest.

Add a shiny coat of spray to it...

And now my pet ladybug has a new home under my red bench....

This is my final cutesy project for the front porch area.....now I have to work on the cleaning and updating some of the existing things.

I am sharing this post on share the fun friday on Little Lucy Lu..... I had so much fun with my family this week.....lots of teasing about ladybugs.....lots of joking around about my pet ladybug.....lots of laughs :)
