Adding some gold sparkles

Into the new year

My daughter has been talking about painting gold sparkles on wine glasses for a while.  Today we had a few minutes to read the directions that other people have tried.  It turns out that nobody really plans on drinking from her glasses.  They are just for show.  We were a little bit disappointed.

However we still wanted to add some gold dots to something.  So we found these old candle votives, washed them and used the end of the paintbrush to apply the dots. 

I liked the Martha Stewart, yellow gold paint.

I think they turned out cute.  It was just a fun and simple project.
