We
drove back an hour to The Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.
It is a the battlefield where a major battle
was fought on June 25th between the Lakota, Cheyenne and Arapaho
Indians against the United States Army The tribes were fighting to preserve
their traditional way of life and the US was fighting for westward
expansion. We saw the hill where Custer
had his last stand.
I did not like walking
around the monument because of this is considered Rattlesnake
Territory.
If you know anything about me you know I am deathly afraid of
snakes and most animals. The Native
Americans had a really neat memorial across the way from the hill of Custer’s
last stand.
Next back in the car for
another hour to Bighorn Canyon and the Yellowtail Dam. Lodge Grass Montana. We found this little dam however we did not
find the dam we were looking for, we were very disappointed.
Back on the road we went for four more hours
to Yellowstone!
Yeah! We made it here! Uggggh!
It’s raining! .
