Day 1 December 27th, 2014
It is the first day of our trip to
Hawaii and we have spent over $700 dollars canceling and changing our
arrangements because both Joe and I are sick.
I have the stomach flu and Joe has been battling a respiratory cold for
several days. Neither of us is in good
shape for traveling today. Hopefully
tomorrow will be better.
Day 2 December 28, 2014
We finally left…..I was a little
nervous about the long flights but with a lot of drugs I made it. We flew through Minneapolis and then to Salt
Lake City and then to Honolulu. We did
not have much time between our flights.
We walked right up to the gates and then onto the planes.
The flight to Honolulu was very long
and there were lots and lots of families with children on the flight. We rented a silver Ford Focus and after
dealing with some crazy driving and giving up on our GPS device. We went to our iPhones, which worked much
better. When we arrived at the Waikiki Beach Resort it took awhile to get our room
because the hotel had cancelled our room instead of rescheduling it.
We walked down to the Waikiki Beach
and ate at Cheeseburger in Paradise. Joe had a cheeseburger and I had a chicken salad. No gluten for me. It is so beautiful here. The weather is warm. We walked up and down the beach an just enjoyed being by the ocean.
